We own 9 02 dodge cab an chassis's w/cummins 6spd we've been having tps problems we had one truck in mass. at a dodge dealer they said cummins put out a bullitin about this problem and how to fix it but i can't get anybody to talk to me about it not even cummins we've gone through 20 of these's sensors don't know what else to do any help would be nice:bang
I agree with Akapparos, these things are notorious for having electronic "Noise" through them off. Usually it is generated by the alternator charge wire. Several companies have made a noise eliminating box to deal with this problem and those run about $50. However, you can wrap the charge wire with either a copper wire, or tin foil and for some reason this helps to knock down on the electronic noise. Its worth a shot anyways. Do that, and reset the APPS(TPS) same thing, and see where that gets you. Good luck.

who make the little box your talking about and how do you reset the tps on one of our trucks they ran a hard wire from the tps to the ecm and they say that will fix everything has anyone heard of that:grd
I'm pretty sure dtt has one, and they call it a noise filter. I think thats the right thing. BD may also make one, but I'm not sure of that. As far as reseting the TPS goes, disconnect the batteries for a couple hours (I usually do it over night for convience), reconnect the batteries, turn the key to the ON position, but do not start. With the key in ON, SLOWLY, depress and release the accelerator pedal. turn the truck off, then turn back on and start. You're all ready to go.

Click here and look for noise filter. Part # is KW5535
