I have always known my truck got excellent fuel mileage but I have never hand calculated it. My overhead stays around 24 in town & will show over 30 on the road, I know, it wrong. Today I took the wife Xmas shopping, its raining & I have had to baby it all day. Ran 195 miles took 7.25 gallons to refill when we got home!! 26.9 mpg! Overhead showed 33.3. I never got over 60, never ripped it, just eased around to keep it from spinning on the wet roads.
The over head is off. Mine will say 28 but hand calculateing it, it will be 24. You will have to hand calculate it to get a rough estimate of how much it is off. I guarantee you are not getting that.
He is saying he hand calculated it to be 26.9 and the over head showed 33.3, I believe but man those are some great numbers and I like the look of your truck from the pictures.
Fill it up, reset one of your trips. Drive it. At the next gas stop fill it up and divide the number of miles you drove by the gallons you put in the truck.
