Upper radiator hose collapsed?

I opened up the hood to my truck the other morning just to make sure everything was squared away before i cranked it up to head to town and noticed that the upper radiator hase was collapsed. After driving it and for a while and it reached operating temp, the hose looked just fine. Checked it again the following morning and same thing the hose was collapsed again. Its not unlikely that the hose is getting week and needs to be replace with 108k miles on it. Just curious if there is something else I should be looking for.

TIA

Most of the time on vehicles when this happens its due to a bad radiator cap thats releasing pressure in the system and creates its own air siphon through the cap. But also can be caused by a loose hose clamp or cracked coolant reservoir or anywhere up high in the system where air pressure can bleed out.

Check the vent on your overflow container too. It should be able to suck air past the cap under vacuum, but that vent could be plugged up.
