What year? All the new computer flashes ignore the EBP sensor and estimate it from other inputs. It may be as simple as spending $100 on a computer update. Some say the older programs have better power and mileage, so if you are concerned about that you might still want to replace the sensor or fix a wiring issue (can be just a harness problem).

catman thats only on the 03s, its called infered ebp, all the rest use it big time. is it doing anything beside throwing the code, runs fine? check a few inches back from the electrical connector for any wire rubs, they will rub on the coolant hose clamp right above it, see if the wires on the electrical connector are purple, if not theres a recall open to replace the connector.

I thought they eliminated the EBP sensor on all the 6.0L when that inferred sensor strategy came out.

What was the reason for eliminating it then? I can't see the '03s being the only ones with EBP sensor problems, unless they changed the sensor type after '03.
