Question SCT X3 User Adjustments

When going through the user adjustments on my custom tunes I am wondering if the "stock value" is what the tuner set your revs per mile to be. I let the tuner know I have 35's and when I look at Revs it says 500 "stock value" and then you can adjust it from there. is that just the pre-set SCT software thing but my Rev's are really set differently through the custom tuning.
I found this by trying to see what number Innovative set my Rev Per Mile to see if I need to make any small adjustments.

I was expecting to see around 580 rev per mile. That's what the calculations came out to be for my 35x12.5R18 procomp X/AT

You have to set your own axle ratio and revs per mile, atleast this was the case on my sf3 when I got my custom tunes. I'm pretty sure it's no different with the x3.

black 2006 lariat F350 SB CC Dually sunroof 12" Procomp lift dual shocks/resivoirs front and rear, fabtech dirtlogic dual resivoir steering stabilizers (all nitrogen). 4in exhaust TB 22" chrome alcoa 18 wheeler rims on toyo 37" open country. 08-10 tailgate recon blacked out lights all way around. Harley front end (lights bumper grill etc) back up sensors and camera custom blacked out badges. 4 JL 10's in shallow box behind seats 2 thousand watt amps w/ custom 6x9's. 8" kenwood indash 5% tint all way around. powder coated frame and custom diff covers. SCT tuned

whenever i download a tune i always adjust the revs and axle ratio. When adjusting those parameters it always starts at the lowest figure and you can raise it from there.

most f250 and f350's prior to 2008 come stock with 3.73 rears. if you going 70mph on highway and your rpms are at 2000rpm then you got 3.73

yeah my truck has 3.73 LS. i was just wondering if that's the setting. but i'll check it out when i look at the SCT. thanks tho

What brand tires do you have?

580 seems way low. I have Toyo MT's and doing the rolling measurement put them at 595.

If anyone has this info I would like to check it out! I have an Xcal 2 there are a bunch of setting you can change. I like to run the X-street tune. from the truck in the sig what should I be setting the Xcal too.

Your set up will prolly be around 585 or 590. The best way to know for sure is to measure.


Put a mark or piece of tape on the 6 o'clock position of your tire(side of it) and then make a mark on the ground next to it(starting point) , roll the truck forward or back one full turn so the mark is back at the 6 o'clock position again. make another mark on the ground. Now measure how far apart the 2 are in inches.. example 99" from mark to mark

There are 63360" in a mile..so 63360/99 is 640 thats how many revs per mile

Bigger the tire size (measured distance) the lower the number of RPM
