The flywheel for the gasser is different than the one from the diesel. The diesel's is designed for more balanceing of the engine. Do not substitute! Cant remember clutch size of the mediums off hand but seems they were a tad bigger then the 1 ton under. Perhaps simply doing away with the piliot bearing of the diesel flywheel, will inable you to use the medium 5spd tranny to the 6.2 engine. I brainstormed this about 15 years ago, but have forgot much of the info. I was gonna install a c60 5spd behind a 6.2 in a 3/4 ton.. on edit it seems i remember everything will bolt up, it was the clutch size and input shaft that had me against a wall. Perhaps adapting the medium clutch to the 6.2 flywheel was the solution? This ofcourse means machine work. Also a word of advise if you dont know allready. The only thing you will gain is a bit better fuel mileage, the 366 was the better performer, especially with the low ratio rear the 2 ton likely has..
