I am running a 1987 big came iv low flow cooling and is currently giving me a headache. .Its overheating whenever it exceeds 40km/hr laden or unladen.Have changed water pump, locked the clutch fan to engine speed, redone radiator and got thermostats removed by the mechanic and never replaced. Now the truck is overheating above 40km/hr.what could be wrong???

Not sure what you mean about 'never replaced".....did he replace them or what?

I would put money on the baffle being broken in the bottom of the radiator. There's a small baffle that the low-flow system uses...that's known to come loose and cause heating problems. Ask a reputable truck radiator shop.

If you have an infrared temp gun you can usually measure the radiator temperatures and tell if the coolant is flowing properly threw it.
You can test the thermostats for proper operation at the same time with the temp gun.
