I picked up a 1MM out of a 2000 western star am told it dropped a valve my ? is should I keep it and build it or sell and find a 6NZ what I was origanaly looking for its going into a 1986 ex hood 359 also I was told that only difference from a 7cz and a 1mm is the newer block could a guy just get a 6nz block that is lighter and better for leaks and swap the internals thanks
Keep the block and have the counterbores all done regardless if theyre bad or not. The 1mm/2ws block is the strongest of them all and have way beefier main bearing caps and everything. That was quite a find. Their was many 1MM's built compared to the 7CZ.
thanks Cat Attack we will see whats all going on when we take apart it does have coolant in the oil thats as far as I have looked into it I am not a mechanic going to have someone do it
