detroit 471 hp/tq?
i just bought a running very very good 471 detroit diesel , im thinkin about putting it in my 86 1 ton dually and i was curious as to what the hp and tq numbers were:Thumbup:

I am not sure about the numbers on it, but if you look on the valve cover there should be a data plate that should tell you.

167 hp at 2200rpm should be the rating, torque would be pretty low though. Two strokers had to be wound tight to build power.
