I was wondering if anyone had heard of someone making or running a 12mm plunger with a 180 cut helix, and the same plunger top as a 215?:smoke: :smoke:

well, I can't help you, but I've been wanting to learn as much as I can about the P pumps. I just have the basic experience, with mild turn ups. However they are capable of flowing way more than my vp44 so I'm thinking, that when I build my full tilt boogie twinned turboed motor with every other goodie, that I want to p pump it. Oh yeah and build a sick one for my friends 96. Although I think he is just screwed with that 160.

Oh yeah, why do you want 12mm barrels, why not 13's or are you planning on running this on the street.

Does the same friend have both the 96 and the 160hp motor? The 160hp pump has very good potential if it is setup properly. I was wondering if anyone was running a setup like this, more flow than a flat top plunger, but none of the retarded timing issues.

yeah, he has the 96, which I thought was a 160 correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think they came with a 180. Anyways, I guess the 160 does have some potential, but I wouldn't think you could flow as much as a 180 or 215. And yeah, that set you are talking about could probably do well, it makes sense. Seems like a decent/streetable set up.

A 96 automatic will have the 180 pump, which will make good power so good luck. The 180 has the same cam as the 215, but it also has the same plungers as the 160.
