Any ideas how much can stock injectors support ?
Is 450 hp with stock injectors just wet dream?
I knew 370 hp injectors can support more than 500 hp, but i do not want to install them without marine pistons.
With my setup (check signature) #10 plate fully froward my maximum boost is 35 psi and not vey much smoke. Is my weakest link small stock injectors or do i need fuel pump tuning.
I think with #10 it have to make lot of smoke.

The 98 12v automatics have 215 injectors, so they will make more power than the 96-97 12v automatics. But even with a modified AFC and tweaked rack travel with 17* of timing, I think that anything over 400hp to the wheels is a stretch. I think that 450hp is obtainable with the 215 pump and stock injectors, but the 215 pump has different plungers ie: different plunger heads and a different cut helix.

you shouldnt really have any problem running 370s without marine pistons just run the thinnest washer then it puts most of the spray in the bowl

Shawn the only difference between the 98 12v automatics and the 96-97 12v automaics are the injectors, otherwise they have the same pump internals. I'm not saying that the 370's are not worth buying, but for my money I would rather send in a set of stock injectors to Dynomite Diesel and have them honed for about the same cost. If you run the .020 washers with less than 19* of timing the spray pattern shouldn't walk out of the piston bowl too much.

i think the first weak link would be the delivery valves, if you want alot of fuel go with the laser cut dv's:Thumbup:

The 800hp marked has been achieved twice with 181 delivery valves, but the laser cut delivery valves will allow more pressurized fuel into the lines before the injection cycle ends. I don't think your going to gain the extra 50hp from just delivery valves without allowing more rack travel. It doesn't always matter how much fuel the pump can push, the injectors are still the bottleneck in the injection system.

Do you guys hava a Bosch part number for 191 delivery valves?
I think, if I ask from local Bosch dealer 191 Dv, they think i am grazy, they need long bosch part numbers.

don't get 191 DV's... for a little more money, you can get the 370 injectors... you'll make a LOT more power, fuel mileage should go up, and there's no problem running them on the stock pistons.
