I've had enough of my 6.0. This ******* is killing me. I'm looking at buying a 2012 Laramie MegaCab. How is the 6.7? I had an '05 5.9 and loved it! Just not sure if a 6.7 will give me the same trouble as my 6.0....

are you gonna mod it or keep it stock? There have been cases of HG failure in the 6.7L when modded but studs and an external waste gate can prevent this from happening. the 68RFE seems to be the best stock auto behind a Cummins to date. ( IMO) I would have to say that the 6.7L has came a long way since the 2007.5 model year and I would not hesitate to buy a second one.

I keep my trucks mostly stock, but I'd like to put exhaust on it. Do you have to tune it for an exhaust upgrade? Anyone driving a new one with a 6 speed manual tranny? Thoughts?

yeah your gonna have to tune it if you want an exhaust. I would love a new one with a 6sp gear jammer!

I worked at Freightliner and we had the 6.7 for 2 years before Dodge got it, and as an employee I could have gotten a large discount. I bought a GMC. They have problems with the turbo coking, were I live there are a lot of mountains and there is a crank breakage problem.
I worked on them we had boost sensor problems, speed timing sensor problems.
The 5.9 with the P7100 injection pump was a great engine, the 24 valve and the 6.7 are living off that reputation.
