Depends on the system...for the CP3, they say anything over 0 is fine...

The factory external pump is about 12psi, pulls down to around 10psi. The factory internal pump is about 8psi, pulls down to around 0psi at WOT. Now just because these pumps act this way doesn't mean they are performing the way they are needed.

Personally, I want at least 10psi...the reason I went with a FASS.

I have never had the internal pump...only the external on my 04.5...if you do any research on the newer internal pump, you will see that the majority of them pull down to 0psi...unfortunately, you can't see a vacuum that the CP3 could be pulling after the guage reaches 0psi. My external pump would hold well at WOT...about 8psi IIRC.

With my FASS, I'm reading psi about 3 inches before the CP3.

Mine was about 7-8 psi with the key on and the truck not running, about 6 @ idle and nothing @ wot. with just the TST on 5/5
