Hey guys

I am considering the S300G turbo for my truck to go along with a few other mods. I found one for a good price but I'm not sure of the specs on it. Can someone inform me on this? what I am looking for is compressor size exhaust housing size, and anything else you may know about it. It is a standard S300G factory built, not one of the many custom variations.

Also if you could let me know if you think it might be a good turbo for me, and maybe some other good turbo options that would work well with my setup. My truck is listed in my signature and I plan on adding a #10 fuel plate and a 3k gsk. Another consideration is I live at 7500ft in elevation so the air up here sucks

Thanks a bunch...Josh

Just basically driving to work, and towing the boat and camper on the weekends, and of course smoke the occasional ricer from time to time

They are good for about 400hp with the factory spec if it's a standard 300g with the 80 exhaust housing and can be upgraded to 62 mm but any larger and the g cover becomes to slow,I've made 540 with a 62mm ,but extremely hot !!!!Hope this helps!!! jason@forcedinductions.com

Please forgive my ignorance, but ya kinda lost me on the "80 exhaust housing" and the "g cover" . I'm still in the early learning stage of turbo's. can you explain this a little more.

I was thinking about going with one of the other S300G variations probably a 62 inducer however I found a box stock S300G for a good price and I didn't know how much smaller the inducer was, or how big the exhaust housing is in stock trim. Other than that I'm just looking for something that will spool similar to stock, support 350hp or so at high elevation, and not break the bank doing it:woot: . Is that even possible or am I dreaming:shrug:

:thanks: ....Josh

Their are about 60 different G's out their,so you'll have to be a little more specific,But a standard 300G like the one from BD is a .80 ar exhaust housing and a 57 mm and will be fine in stock trim for 350hp EASY!!!

The stock S300G turbo has a 57mm compressor wheel with a 14cm exhaust housing. The hybrid turbos range anywhere from a 62-68mm compressor wheel with either a 12cm or 14cm exhaust housing. A standard S300G can be picked up for a little under $700, and it will support up to about 425hp, the Borg Warner PN# is 174430.
