i looked at the tech thread on it and tried to do it today to only find out i could not find one anywhere. I took off the intake tube from the air box to the turbo inlet and at the face of the inlet i didnt see anything i took the tube off and i could literally touch the impeller.there is a large canister with a plastic cross thing in it with alot of holes drilled in it and if im not mistaken i was under the understanding that was only on the 06's where as mine is an 03. i took out the cross setup and it helped a little but wheres the screaming whine i long for? im i dumb or did the 60yr old man that owned the truck before me love that sound a remove it himself? i doubt that. HELP!

Well, you can still touch your impeller, with it in, but it is possible that the old guy before you removed it. Take the intake tube back off, and look for a "snap" ring(like a retaining ring that is set in a groove and doesn't connect all the way),if this is still in your turbo, then you should still have a scilencer ring. Pull out the retaining ring, and the scilencer ring should come out right after it. Hope this helps.

Go to a local muffler shop get them to Expand a chunk 5" stainless for you and put it in. This way you still have the stock piece should anyone ask and also less potential for damage to the outer tube that may lead to a dusting issue.
Mine cost me $30.00 installed. Looks good to withteh stainless under the hood.
