: new 06 mega cab what to do first
Bruno 04-04-2006, 05:15 AM the shop just got a new mega cab 2500 4x4 to make as one of our show display trucks
since we are mainly ford guys i come to yall to help out on what to do to this thing to make it fly and not blow up anything
we put a intake cut the muffler off and and quadzilla race box on it (140HP) and my 06 f350 2wd with mbrp duals cold air intake and quadzilla race box (160HP) spanks it every time
tell me some of the tricks to make this thing wake up
we are dealers for all the major chip manufactures out there so let us know who helps this pig get some power thanks bruno
sstockton 04-04-2006, 05:22 AM First off, let me welcome you to the site. I'm assuming it is an auto, fix the transmission. Throw in at least a converter and Valve body. From there, I would ditch the box, and go with a TST PMCR and stack that with an Edge EZ, throw in a set of Flux 2 injectors and an sp66, you are looking at 2500-3000 in performance parts, and a bit more in tranny stuff, and your truck should lay out about what tomeygun's truck is doing. 604.8hp to the ground. These trucks can do really well, but you must support the power and do the right mods as well. Hope that helps. that is what I would do if I had an 06.

Bruno 04-04-2006, 05:26 AM thanks sean that is what i was hoping to hear
but what is a TST PMCR and a sp66 ??
TST comes from here --> TST Products, Inc. - Turbo Diesel Specialists (http://www.tstproducts.com/)
and the 66 would come from here --> Forced Inductions (http://forcedinductions.com/)
Where are ya from Bruno?
BTW, the Cummins will take time to loosen up..... then they get faster.

With Flux 2's your going to need to mod your CP3 to get the most out of it. With all of those said mods just a valve body and tq converter wont hold the power for long, youll be needing a fully built tranny IMHO

Deezle1 04-04-2006, 08:42 PM yep, with a 5 inch exhaust these trucks benifit nicely! Fully tranny, large single such as the sp66, or twins  big sticks (maybe call Don of F1 to see if he can do something custom). im not much of a 610 man, but am very interested to see how this turns out :D

John DiMartino 04-04-2006, 08:55 PM Id do the trans next,TC,valve body, maybe an input shaft, and some internal work if over 400 is in the cards.
5" won't do ya much good. Ya got a 4" now...just upgrade your muffler. :HappyMugs
SC_PowerStroke 04-05-2006, 11:34 PM Are you serious, I think the 5'' would be worth it for the sound and looks alone.
4' sound better IMHO and I believe the 4" will give you better power.
5" gives braggin rights although it won't impress the woman :D
