Round one tuning these monster injectors. Started today for fun and put a stock plate in. It was raining so I relied on road test for now not the dyno.

With stock plate, I had 42 psi max clean out the pipe. I figured about 350hp. Enough for maybe Andy, but not me. LOL But I was still impressed when you figure it had a stock plate.

So put a mild cut on the plate, another AFC adjustment, 60 psi, clean and I am getting happy. I figure 450-480hp.

The 3b is making 25 psi @ 60 psi total. I also raised the wastegate to open at 28 psi.

Next round, go back to 550hp with a little more aggresive plate design. Then hopefully be able to slide it to limit hp to this current level or put a valet type switch on it. But we will see.

And BTW, Fatboy is ready for the track. She's sitting at ~700hp ready for shake-down runs. :smoke:

Haha. It's all fun and games until I come down there and race you in the rain...we'll see what direction 500hp points you in. LOL

Yes Tim, the 5.5's are Jeff's modded 370's. I really could have gone smaller injectors but these were there. Of course all in the name of testing. :blah:

I still may try a set of 5.0's after I play with these. Smaller but still good for way more power than I will make.

But best part is these drive so well. I can drive smoke free deep into the throttle. Just need to limit some fuel so I make max power without the excess fuel I can't burn.

If you want to donate those 5.5's to a worthwile cause, I'll help you out

Well, I still haven't put this thing on a dyno (man I wish I knew someone that had one :roflmao: ) but I took it to the track last night.

1st pass SOMEHOW I limped the tranny before I ever launched. 2nd gear launch, no lock-up, no OD. I was racing a lightning. I had the race until I ran out of gear, in fluid drive, and had to lift and let him go by. :pissed: 14.26 @ 85 mph. :pissed: :pissed:

2nd pass and I am racing a 350Z. Nice launch, tranny worked flawless, and I clicked off a 13.38 @ 99.78 mph. (1.83 sixty foot) Poor old Z had a nice view... of my tail gate. :roflmao: He ran a 14.88.

I was really pleased and surprised with the performance. My butt dyno said about 450-470hp and I was expecting about a 13.8 or so. Guess it needs calibrating. LOL

Truck cleaned up by the 330 mark. So, overall I am pleased with these injectors. The EDM's I was testing last ran 12.80's at 105 mph with a wide open fuel pump. They cleaned up like these (I did have better air with the EDM's). But with Jeff's 5.5's, a boat load of pump taken away, 13.30's at almost 100 makes me very happy. After Atlanta I think I will see how hard it is to adjust fueling to put it back in the 12's. :smoke:
