Thanks,
Ted

Not a clue Ted, maybe some of the gear and axle places on the west coast that deal a lot with the exrtreme 4wd stuff

BTW, reload your avatar if you would please sir, looks like something a cat left after a long night of partying LOL LOL

Looks good to me Ted(the avatar).. There is a company that has done several for Rock Crawlers down here. It is called JB Conversions I think. They are out of Indiana. You also might want to give Moser a Call. A buddy of mine with a 4x4 shop got all of his from Moser....There is only ONE reason I could think of that you may need a shortened Axel....

Its always been part of the plan, but I may have the chance to do it next week while I am getting the cage done, not positive yet though cause it could take to much time. Wanted to have some info just in case though. Eventually it will get done.

When did you reload it? Today? Brian has been playing around with the server, we'll just blame it on his obvious need for glasses :roflmao:

How much shorter are looking to go with a tubbed rear setup? On the Duramax chassis the dually axle is shorter than the 3/4 ton. I was kicking around that idea to pick up about three or four inches of rim for my slicks....

Hadn't really thought about a specific distance yet, basically I am happy with my tires that are aboout 14.5" wide, but I want them all under the fendersand right now they are sticking out around 6". I can swap the spring pockets to the inside of the frame rails and then move the brackets on the axel which would buy me some space but then I need a larger rim that would go over the disk brakes with the right amount of backspacing. Shortening the axel all together seems like it will be better. I will have to look at the size of the 3500 axels and see how wide thay are, never even thought about it till you mentioned it.

Anybody with a 3500 want to measure there axel for me?

No, but I can shorten your axle tubes. The only thing there, it ain't cheat at all. + you buy the axles from Strange. You may think the cage is high. Check the axle work. That may not work with you moving further up the east coast.
