IN taking measurements of the 5.9 cummins in a dodge I see my first obsticle, the starter will hit my steering gear box on the drivers side. Does any body know if the starter is on the passenger side in any other applications..I/E ford f700, thomas or bluebird busses, freightliner.....I see If you use a zf5speed there is an adaptor plate that puts the starter on the passenger side. what Im really asking.... is there a donor truck that would have the engine and trans (5.9 cummins, 5 , 6 or 7speed) that would have the starter on the passenger side. Thanks for the help!

Our freightliner fl70's have the starter on the rh side but they also have allison's in them. Don't know if that will help you.
