That's sweet! My dream musclecar is a 1970 Chevelle with a Cummins in it! If that 6.0 fits that Mustang will fly! The hood will definitely have to be raised and the inter cooler and radiator is one big???????? The front end of those Stangs are not that tall for fitting in all that stuff...... I actually don't think it will al fit in their, esepecially between the towers, good luck hopefully you can do it! I would try for a larger musclecar though that you know you can fit it into!!

If a 460 can fit into a foxbody I bet a 6.0 would. Might have to have a huge hood but it might can work.

im not sure how a 6.0 compares in size to a 460 but they fit into a fox body mustang quite nicely, and they offer up to like a 6in cowl hood for them.
id have to give that a try.
i saw an episode of pimp my ride where they put a dmax in like a 67 impala
and it looked pretty fast.

If your gonna race it you'd prolly buy a bigger turbo any way.

514 is the same block as 460

One easy way to gain clearance is to build a tube frame since this car is a uni-body design. You could set the stance of the car how you want it and then you could set the engine where you need it. A lot of those guys set those 460's back a little to help with clearance in between the towers and better weight transfer to get you hooked up. I think the main advantage of the tube frame offers besides strength and cleanliness is you can eliminate the inner structures of the engine compartment and put aftermarket suspension on it. Many many options and ways to get it in there. I say go for it!

You are going to have to get creative with the intercooler and larger radiator setup.....Maybe you could remove the head light and put in ducting to the intercool/radiator....I used to have a 87 5.0 GT and man the front end of the car is gonna be tight!!!! If you could build a tube frame like the above mentioned and move the 6.0 back in the car that would help for sure!!

Man though wouldn't a nice 5.o type- 6.0 emblem on the sides of the car look sweet!!!

Better yet what about a 1967 fastback mustang with a 6.0!!! THat would be sweet, runs dual stacks up through the rear quarters just sticking out about 2 inches past the rear quarter panels! Damn that would be cool!!:smoke

Can anyone with photoshop put dual stacks on a 1967 Stang! I gotta see that!! Now I am starting to sound like monster garage or pimp my ride or something......LOL

Make sure you tire the frame with weld in sub connectors or you would rip the car in half you will also need torque boxes or you will rip the rearend out of in

You could put a mustang 2 front end in it since you could get rid of the strut towers.

I say go for it! I have a Competition Orange 93 Hatch with a 5.0 in it for sell right now actually. I thought about swapping a Cummin 4BT in it.
