Since the exhuast is already 4inch we wacked the cat and the muffler, and put a 6inch single tip on it. Ungodly loud, just the way i like it, still fairly queit at idle though. Ill post a vid w/sound when i have time. It's perfect height and angle for pissing the guy in a sports car off  Notice my back rim is a little dirty for some reason??

StrokerAce,

For folka that want less vloume on the 2004.5+ trucks we have the MBRP performance replacement mufflers that'll keep the volume down for you. They are stainless just like the stock pipes and even have the welded hangers on them that reuse the stock hanger locations, straight thru performance and easy install etc. We also have cat test pipes for those that off road and race too!

I went for the straight pipe for a short while.. Mine resonated in the cab, so I then just installed a Walker 21471 muffler from NAPA. Louder than stock for sure, yet it really lets you hear the turbo..

I had a straight pipe on my truck for the longest time, loved the way I could make people beside me wince LOL LOL Only problem was that when I got out of it after driving for about 2 hours I went around saying "Huh?" a lot  With the 5 inch system I have now I put the muffler in, and am actually quite happy I did so, much better in the cab
