Ok i need a chip that wont kill my tranny for now. I was thinking the edge ez, or banks 6 gun(yeah i know banks sucks) so i wont burn my tranny. I was told that the 6 gun gave more power then the ez and it was safe for a stock auto, my question is has anyone put a banks 6 gun on a newer cummins, if so was the power gain good, and does that chip smoke pretty good or not at all? Also a edge juice wouldnt be safe for a stock auto would it???

I would go either Edge EZ or Quadzilla

The new Quadzilla Xzillaraider has seen ggod response from the new CR guys.I have also installed an Edge Juice w/ Attitude on a new CR and it worked out very nicely. Either one is a great addition to the new Cummins.:sly:

Two initials and one word, TS Ramifier. Best, smoothest non-duration box out there, just ask David Dunbar. :smoke: :smoke:

check into the TS Performance mp-8, for the dodges it has pretty much the same program as the ramifier, it is just our latest and greatest universal box. it is a 0-100 hp module, adjustable in cab on the fly. and you should see a fuel milage increase on average of 2-3 mpg. if you have any other questions Check here www.tsperformanceproducts.com

StrokerAce,

The 48RE trans that you have is actuallly a great improvement over the 47RE used in the past! If you use the Edge Juice or EZ you'll be Ok unless you're a hammer down all the time kind of guy. The Juice/Attitude also has trans slip protection and you can make one of the displays on the Attitude tell you if and how much the tranny is slipping to make sure you're awrae of any trans info etc. Call us if you have any questions, the Edge is going to be your best and safest bet overall.

If you can get it cheap enough Id buy it.. Yoiu are not gonna win any Dyno events with it, but I dont hear about banks parts grenading trucks either... The main drawback with the banks stuff has always been the price.

Yeah, I've heard some "ok" stuff about the banks stuff. However, it's only on certain Items like the intake, cooler or wastegate.... but nothing really strong about the "power" of the system?

.....Personally, I'd pick another make. I've heard nothing but complaints from their customer service compared to other makes. And, I do not see them supporting this site. Maybe I missed a vendor that sells'em but many don't.....wonder why? I wouldn't run a banks if you gave it to me....donno why exactly?

Support the site and buy from a vendor here.

BTW, what year is your truck? .........you do know that the 06' has a different harness than the 03, 04, 04.5 and 05 trucks.... right? Open the hood and look at the connections...there are two, not three. ;)

My friend works for 4wheelparts and they sell Banks, but he even said they are to much money. They are not bad, but someone has to pay for all that advertising. I could have got the banks for the same price as the edge, I think I made the right choice. Any of the vendors on hear can hook you up. See ya

Hey, Guys!

I'm new here so go easy on me. I have a '04.5 325/600 with the 48 RE. I bought a PPE Xcellerator oon a magazine review. It definitely does what the company says. I flashed the second highest power level(155 HP). Waaaay more power than I need, but it's fun for a while. I cuurently am back to stock for the winter. Too much power for my foot.

Does anyone use this box? Opinions? Thanks Bryan

Ok, guys. I gotta clarify this too much power thingy.

I don't want to sound like some kinda mega wuss.
Shortly after I downloaded the power program, I encountered a little kid with a Camaro at a stop light. You know how little kids are. The BIG kid gassed on the Ram and totally left the little kid talking to himself. A few days later, I only slightly lost to the guy on the Harley.
To make a long story longer, my wife, my mother and I were on our way to dinner on a rainy night. The street was wet and I turned a corner and got on the pedal a little harder than I should have. After I got the truck straightened out and back on the road, I had TWO seriously scared women to deal with! Hence, the too much power statement. Too much for winter driving around here, I should have said. I'll reflash in the spring, after no more snow chances.

as i said before, i have a friend that might be selling a compatable Edge EZ that he was very pleased with, ill see if he still wants to get rid of it
