Trans go is probably the best for the buck. The install is what makes or breaks the shift kit.

Personally, I'd rather have a fully built VB. They do about the same as a shift kit, but you know that they are gonna be assembled right, they are gonna have the correct pressures, the shift points are going to be set right, and everything else is going to be done right. I strongly recommend DTT's VB. I'm running it and I'm putting out 371 to the rear wheels and I abuse it daily and it's never slipped or even thought about slipping.

I have to agree with BbBlDodge that a full VB is the way to go, but if you are low on cash then the Transgo, which is what I have, will be fine. When I sank my truck and had to had the tranny rebuilt I couldnt afford anything, but a stock rebuild and a shift kit and it is holding up great. I've been running the comp on 5x5 for a while now, although I havent put it to the floor from a dead stop yet. I feel that it was a good $100 investment.

BgBlDodge which VB body did you get? Race, tow, livestock??

I have no clue which one I got. I asked for a valve body that would hold my EZ/275's and he built me one that held a comp/275's/KSB-1. Now I'm running 100+hp EDM's and the cmop in EZ mode and it's still holding great.

I would have to agree that Transgo probably makes the best shift kit out there.

I would agree with a valvebody, it will be worth the extra money. Just my 2 cents. See ya
