Fro programmers I think the Bully Dog works good, and if he were to go w/ the Triple Dog he could change the power levels on the fly.

I know of 2 trucks that have had both the Edge and the TST and they preffered the Edge!

The TS Ramifier stacks well with just about everything also!

I wouldn't go with bully dog, they are way over priced for the power gain. If your friend wants to wait a little while he should look into the new Smarty. It is a plug in programmer with 10 different power setting along with a code reader. Marco is still working on the Beta model, but from what I have heard it will be what everyone wants. It will have a fuel economy setting also. If he doesn't want to wait I would look into the Edge and TST products like D2HP said. Just start looking around on vendors websites and see what is out there.

:agreed: Edge EZ would be a good starting point if he doesn't want huge power around 65hp and about 150 ft/lb at the rear wheels. If he wants more he could go with the juice. The others mentioned are also good products, just depends on what he wants to do. see ya:popcorn:

yea he wants something that is powerful enough to maybe go play around at the track or smoke somone on the street... but yet another setting to tow with or drive with

I have the exact truck. I have a Dr. Performance chip under the hood. It gave me 80HP TO THE GROUND. Most chips claim HP but it is only at the flywheel. I had mine dyno-d. Oh and you better open the OIL INTAKE on the turbo with whatever he puts on it! The faster it spools, the less oil gets there, if stock. I got a 4 mpg gain with it. I have had no problems at all!

I have an 03 cummins with automatic tranny and I have quadzilla. It is adjustable, stock, 40, 60, 100 horse. I has quite a bit of power. I found it for arouund $330.00 in ebay.

TST PowerMaxCR gives you quality performance... no fuel pressure increase.

The best part is it's mild to wild. You have what you need to go from towing to extreme in one box. It's rated at 180hp and it's no lie. You can't use the high end without mods but it's there if you do it.

bully triple dog is a great programmer

I have a used one for an 03 I'll sell!!!!! $300 and it's yours,looks new and runs great just don't need it with the TST and TS boxes!!!!!

TST plus the BDDL makes a great combo for the '03 trucks.
