Who has the best intake for an 06' Dodge. I mean, who has the BEST filtration with high cfm? What has the best fit? And the tube....is it nessary? I just don't see it having an advantage but it might?
........O-pee-In-ions Anyone. LOL

Rich,
AFE is by far the best, look at the AFE Pro Guard 7 Stage II system. 6 inch filter outlet to a mandrel chamber intake tube etc etc.
Mark @ DPPI
Thanks Mark. I do like the AFe as well.
Anyone else?

I second the AFE. I will probably be ordering the stg 2 version one for my 03.
It's official....got me a Pro-Guard 7 with a wrap. Although, I did not get the "torque tube" to go with it. I just don't know how much it'll help right now. Besides  this thing should have a LARGER TURBO in it's future and I'd hate to trash a good pipe in 6 months. LOL
Oh yeah, my buddy asked what I wanted and I told him. He said "OK" I'll get ya one for 300 bucks. I said "suuuure, if that's a good deal order it". Well, it's on the truck right now. LOL  It does rub a bit on the hood-liner? Shoud it.........donno?

I got that 5.5" dia. straight tube turbo inlet from Geno's. It replaces the stock turbo inlet deal with all the baffles and such. When I put it in, the silencer ring ran off. Turbo whistles Dixie now!! The thing fits real nice and looks even better. Still have stock air filter and I'm getting probably just shy of a mpg better around town; this is with an exhaust also. I haven't gone on a long trip to see how that improved yet. I'm hopin' for a bit over 1mpg increase. When get around to it, I plan on "swiss cheesing" my air filter box. I've heard that will help too. That tube from Geno's is only 50 bucks...pretty cheap and functional mod.
Well....jimminey crickets. Post a link, would ya?

Glad you went with the pro guard, Rich it is www.genosgarage.com if that is what link you where talking about. They are in Cumming. See ya
Thanks Haz-mat. I think Robin is a sweet gal.
....what's the difference between the Blue filter and the Yellow filter?
Rich you don't need the torque tube. You gut the stock tube. Much cheaper.

Thanks Hoot. I remember your post from wayyy back. I kept looking at the 'baffle' but I did not see where it would help knocking it out? Can you tell if it helps or not?

Hey ritch thats wat i did the other day when i took the sclincer ring out u can really hear the turbo now and i cut a 3' hole in the bottom to help it out
Thanks Hoot. I remember your post from wayyy back. I kept looking at the 'baffle' but I did not see where it would help knocking it out? Can you tell if it helps or not?
All I know is the baffle is stuff in the way of the airstream that needs to go. Get rid of the silencer ring too. I know my truck runs real good. Did I "feel" a definate difference? Not sure. If you like the sound of your turbo this helps a lot.
Thanks Hoot.............I like the sound but only like a radio I can turn off and on. :woot:
I'd like to have it as quiet as possible and as fast as possible. I'll give up 5 HP for quiet and no drone.

I drilled out the airbox on my 03 and it made a difference. Also in the air tube there are fins u can cut those out and it has no restriction. You won't have to buy the torque tube then.
