Any one unhook the red line on the wastegate to get more boost.Or just let the programer do it.

You can unhook the line and just cap it on one of the clamps threads on the hot pipe or turbo. It is a snug fit but will prevent boost leaking out.You will loose bottom end a little and loose a little MPG but will spool that thing to the earth.Have fun and don't blow it up the turbo that is.

I heard this i a good way to blow up your turbo?

If you unhook it You need to watch you Boost PSI and keep it under 25. I have mine unplugged just like kainers said (just stuck the end of the red hose on the clamp bolt). But I have a BB Gerrett, and with my set up I don't have to worry about building to much PSI on this turbo. In all, just watch your Boost gauge and I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck:Thumbup:

do you guys get any airy noise with the wastegate unplugged? when accelerating at highway speeds i get a kind of airy sound(maybe just intake noise) maybe boost leakthough?

It is most likely surge you are hearing... I dont care what anyone tells you... You can not hear the wastegate opening...

so even while accelerating you would get surge?? i didnt think you would get surge until you let off? its seems to be only at faster speed?

Surge is only happening when the turbo is under pressure... The noise you hear when letting off is the turbo expelling all the extra "air" thru the intake very quickly slowing and or stopping the compressor wheel. This is not good for the turbo, but theres not much you can do about it...

I would recomend the ATS housing to anyone looking to stop surge, the ww helped in mine, but two months later I was under the hood again installing the housing... A little more money, but it will stop it, gives you some performance and is MUCH easier to install.

i guess i was just under the impression that airy sound during acceleration was not surge because it is a constant sound rather than rapid. and its in low rpms in a high gear? and when i let off it will continue until i get to the low boost numbers.

also waste gate solenoid is unplugged

You might have a leak on your up pipes...Once you let off the noise of surge should stop...

Maybe someone can explain it better than me but surge is a result of a restriction causing too much back pressure on the exhaust side of the turbo which is basically fighting the drive pressure causing the turbo to basically flutter, which is why it will destroy the turbo. If you unplug the wastegate you will reach higher boost numbers but if you don't fool the MAP sensor you should not go higher than 25lbs, as it will start to defuel through the PCM seeing 25lbs of boost from the signal it gets from the MAP sensor. But the stock turbo is not made to be efficient past these kind of boost numbers, you really don't gain much unless you change the compressor wheel and go to a different AR rating, and add some programming to add fuel to the equation. Hope this helps and didn't confuse anyone. Gene

i dont get the flutter just constant and when i let off all the way it goes away, but i have to let off all of the way...

Check your post "still low boost", just maybe could be your problem. Gene
