I have a 93' KW with an L10. I parked the truck on a Friday and put the batteries on charge. Monday morning I tried to start it and it wouldn't try to start at all just crank. I have checked all the fuel lines, good pressure goin into the head but it does drain the filter half empty when trying to start. I am leaning towards the ECM being the cause. Any help would be appreciated.
have you checked your fuel shutoff solenoid
had a similar problem with one at work it ended up the solenoid went out
not sure on yours but ours has a manual valve next to the solenoid on top rear of the pump if you screw it in all the way it bypasses the valve and you can start it but you cant shut it down without screwing it back out
It doesn't have a manual bypass. I have lost power to the electrical wire that activates the selenoid, but hot wired it to the battery. Still nothing. Would you get fuel going into the head if the selenoid was closed?
No, and if it's electronic (has an ECM) and you lost the 12V to the solenoid you also have an ECM problem. Check codes if you can, and check power to the ECM
When you put the batteries on charge it was a regulated charger?
If you over voltage the ECM you can kill it. Check the power wires to the ECM. and the ground fuse if equipped on the ECM mounting.
