Installing a cooler in with my power steering/hydro boost

I picked up what I think could be the perfect cooler for my power steering and hydro boost system. But, I have a couple of questions before I tear into it. I know Ford had the idea of running all that extra cooling line across the cross member to help cooling. So if I install that cooler, will I still require all that extra line? Also, where should the cooler be installed in the lines? At what point in the circulation process would be the best place to hack in and install the cooler?

It has to go in the return line......and where it will get the most air......you did not describe the cooler.....I assume it is an air to oil type.
