I have ordered the Intl. CD Manual but would like to start on the codes in my 2002 truck. It runs but has some unknown codes in it. Thanks

One word of *CAUTION*...

Using DTCs for troubleshooting without good knowledge of the SYSYTEM that you are having issues with, you are setting yourself up for replacing lots of parts and fixing little.

word of caution, chasing historic codes will send you into a nightmare condition. you should use a reader that can determine how old the codes are that you are chasing. what kind of problem are you having with this blue toy, some of us out here are pretty good with them and have probly seen what is wrong........what is it doing?

sounds like a pwr issue with the voltage going to the ecm. need to check the ecm fuse to make sure that it is not blown. down in the battery box in most models, need to go to the main power wire at the ecm and see if you have power with the key on. also need to push in on the diagnostic button on the dash when you turn on the key and see if the ecm is flashing the lights on the left side of the dash cluster to see if the ecm is even talking. if you have power to the ecm and no lights on the dash that are flashing fault codes you need to take it to a certified shop so they can hook the scan tool or the laptop to it to diagnose exactly what is wrong....some things are better left to the techs that know what to do.......sorry.....if the ecm is dead....it will never start
