03 ford ranger 4.0 liter

i have a 03 ford ranger with the 4.0L it was idealing and just quit i turn it over an it sounds like it wants to start and let off the key it just chuges a little what could it be and where do i start any help thanks john

You need to check codes and fuel pressure, clean the battery connections, check the oil level and air filter, and air intake for dirt and loose connections or missing vacuum hoses.

thanks for the reply but it was the fuel shut off switch under the glove box on the firewall. i was in tim hortons getting a coffee had a tall friend with me and his foot hit it we think this seems to be the problem i reset it and the truck started up thanks
