F-550 w/ high capacity payload & towing packages

Did the '08's have the higher capacity tow package that took it over 26K GCWR? Is there a way to tell from the VIN?

If you post a Osais Report it will tell you all the options the truck has. Are you looking at 6.4s Duke?

Yup. Pinching my nose and looking at 6.4's.
I don't want one, but it's the only small rig I can find with a GCWR of 33,000lbs and I need to pull a 12 ton 5th wheel.
The chassis is fine, the powertrain I dislike.

Not to lead you else where, or get off topic but have you looked at the sterling (Dodge) 5500s?

Out side of a Vin report I would not know if you can tell just by VIN.
You gonna Keep her stock or get the spartan package installed from the beginning?

I dont even know what the Spartan Package is.

I've been away from Ford for so long. Only thing I have is an old F-150 4x4.
Only aftermarket thing I was planning on was an Eby flatbed and a Banks exhaust brake.
