Hey guys,
Im new to this forum and to the Chevy diesels, I am looking at a 2004 2500 HD Duramax 4x4 with 40K miles on it that Im thinking of buying, The truck seems to run and drive fine but I notice during the test drive that the oil pressure at an idle was 2 lines above the red lines on the oil gauge, Since there are no numbers down that way I can't say what the psi was, I just know it was real low on the available scale. However when driving down the road, it went and pretty much stayed at 60psi....

Is this normal for a Duramax, or an indication of a problem waiting to happen?

Thanks

I would normally run 35-40 at idel and 70 on the highway. but since the injector problems mine is the same now 20 at idel and 60 highway.
