The one way check valve on the fuel line has been removed on my '88 F250 7.3l... I bought one off ebay, but not sure where to install it in the line. The manual isn't specific about it either... I was thinking that it should go between the mechanical pump and the fuel filter somewhere?? Anybody know for sure? CHobeeman?lol
Thanks-Dan
The best place to put a check valve is on the inlet hose goint to the lift pump. There will be a short rubber hose between the metal supply line and the lift pump. You may need to get a longer hose and make a loop with it the prevent a kink.
Installed the valve this morning and then proceeded to fry my starter trying to get her to run.lol I got the new starter and BAM! Problem solved!!!! I haven't seen this pig fire up so quickly since I've owned it.lol
