You know you are doing something right when the Ford dealers call you for parts.

Can anyone help me out. I have a 06 f 250 powerstroke turbo and would like to know what are the best ways to take off faster than cars, like in the diesel garage videos. See I live in a small town filled with little import hondas and they think they're bad *** and are always talking smack of diesel trucks. I really want to beat them and show them whats up. I can I start off faster. Do I Build boost and in 4wdlow. How do you guys do it. Thank you

Thumbs up

Thats pretty cool!

I don't get any race chances around here, must be the fear of getting spanked by a 8500 pound truck???
Lee Boy, You need to go out to the sticks and practice. See what gives you a good launch with out spinning the tires (Or minimizing spinning). I have never locked in the hubs and launched that way, but 4 high would likely give you the jump you need, then shift out of 4 high in the run. I'm sure some guys with more experience will chime in. (And correct me if I am wrong please)
I smash on the breaks and run it up to about 2000 - 2200 RPM and get a decent jump.
Figure it out and go eat some rice rockets!

put it in 4hi (NOT 4lo) hold the break and rev it up to 1800-2200 and dump the break and mash the gas, o and hold on, youcan switch back to 2wd while your going but it won't switch until you let off the gas, it is fine running it up to 80,90,100 in 4wd i have done it hundreds of times

Looked like just a standard WRX (225?? hp).
So, a WRX STi (300hp) should leave the truck pretty good??

I've been thinking about getting a WRX or WRX STi...

I don't think that was a very strong tune...definately not a racing tune...maybe a street tune?? Look at the smoke...I see some coming off the line, but going down the street doesn't seem to be blowing much...

I know my 6.0L on Doug or DJ's race tune blows a ton of smoke going down the track from start to finish...
