Test drove all three trucks today:

2006 F-250...6.0 - Sucked, drove like the e-brake was on, tried two trucks incase it was an issue with one. No power, once the turbo spooled I was expecting more. The steering wheel is the same one since what 95? Interior wasn't impressing...

2008 Dodge 2500 6.7 - Awesome engine, pulled hard, stock exhaust brake. Over-all really good truck, interior was too plastic for me though.

2007 Chevy 3500 LBZ - I fell in love with this truck...don't get mad at me Cummins lovers. This engine pulled like a jet engine, it felt like it would just keep going. And this was a 3500 dually. I wonder what stipping that weight would do. The interior was awesome, heated leather seats, power everything, etc. This was the only truck that felt like it was designed with a driver in mind.

I still haven't made my final decision since the Chevy is a good $5k+ more than a comparable Dodge. But I fell in love with the LBZ when I put the petal down.

I don't even know what this means but I 100% agree...it pulled so hard I wasn't even expecting a DRW 3500 to get up and go like that.

I would have to say you cant really compare a newer dodge, and chevy to an older ford. You drove 2 trucks that have the new motor then you drove a 6.0l. I understand that the 6.4l ford is one nice ride and is more comparable to the new 6.7l dodge an chevy. But like said that dmax is one heck of a motor.

Im glad you get to test drive them all, thats the only way to do it to get you your best answer. I have the king ranch 6.0l with captains chairs and it is the most comfortable ride compared to my dads f250 with bench seats. just a thought

What was the price and mileage on all three trucks? The LBZ truck must have had less miles and/or been far more optioned to out-price the newer Dodge. Were these all automatics?

I have to say the interior of the KR and Harley F-250s is very comfortable. Were the 6.0s you drove lower models?

mines pretty much stock and most people dont expect me to fly by them getting on the highway like I do.

Thats how I bought mine...i just wanted to see how they rode, drove, etc...i was actually going to look at a 3500 dodge 4x4 later that day also and told myself i wouldnt buy anything till i drove them both...well, i drove mine, and left with it.

"pulled like a rapped ape" means pulls really hard. awesome...Ive pulled triple axle 5ers, 42ft fountain boats and the truck never thought twice about it.

just remember, you get what you pay for...there are reasons the dodge is cheaper....

goodluck with your decision and keep us up to speed!

I like the interiors of fords...but in order to get the 6.0 up to par with even a simple mod as a tuner you gotta pretty much start off with complete EGR delete and headstuds....

08' Dodge was a lower model one, not base but not high end. 25,000 miles, $32,000.

06' Ford was a higher end but with cloth seats. 60,000 miles, $32,000

07' Chevy was high end. 90,000 miles $30,000

I understand they aren't apples and apples but they are what is in the area as far as choices and in the same price range. I am thinking about going out of area so I can get a better price. These are all at dealers aswell so I know I can find a better price from private party.

Well, you can post the VIN of the Ford and Chevy and get the reports. I'm not sure on the Dodge.

I assume these were all CC/SB?

Yes, all CC/Short bed only difference was that the Chevy was a 3500 dually.

I'm understanding the price difference a bit. I also realize you had already said the Chevy was a dually. I'm losing it. Post up the VIN and get a check on it.
