:shrugsI have some Diagrams, but they are old. I was looking for them as well, and i found it in a library in my city and they didn't let me check out the book. I copied them, if you send me a fax number or i can scan them and then email it to you. I don't know if you'll need them because the pump is old and its a PT.
I really just like to know how things work. So it's not imperative that I find a diagram. I have an old diagram from probably the 60's.
When I'm accelerating through the gears at a certain rpm and load I guess the boost from the turbo signals the pump to pump more fuel. The increase in power is very noticeable. I'm just curious whats going on. It would be nice to have the boost a little sooner.
Thats the AFC valve doing it's thing, holding back fuel until it sees boost to burn it cleanly. Pry the tin cover thats behind the throttle arm off, there is a screw that stares you in the face, back the lock nut off and screw it in some, try it. That'll give you better throttle responce.
Imagine my surprise to see the one and only French Electrician on the diesel forum. I don't post much (as SmithBuilt) but have seen your posts over on the MH forum.
Thanks for the diagram. It appears that pump does not have the AFC.
Yep., you got it correct it is the only true French Electrician and I do work on a bit of larger diesel engine more common found on larger generator units.
by the way the diagram I posted here it did not have AFC on it so the AFC valve will be found between the shut off valve and the pump body however there are some models that have the AFC will be on the round cover where the max and idle speed screw will be located as well.
You're the sht French!! You come up with more stuff!!!! Kinda like Pichu and all his stuff. He's sent me more E books on wierd stuff than I've even heard of... I'd love to have an actual library (or even room for it) :thumbsup :happymugs
