Hello i've got a 2012 with a paccar motor these have been on the market for

a little bit more power/fuel economy out of them like on the acert unplugging

i think they can raise it to 510 hp, until this moment i don't know anyone that could eliminate a src system,(they put a lock inside in the software) if you look here i made a question months ago about a px8 and i guessed that his twin brother was a cummins isl cm2150, but yours one is a daf i think

I am not aware of any MX modifications at the moment. The MX seems to be the only engine we are selling in Petes now so I imagine the aftermarket will pick up soon enough. If anyone knows of anything please share!

It's called DAF in Europe and yes, SCR can be removed and fuel and timing modified. http://www.ecuflash.co.uk/Adblueremoval.aspx

I had a look at a T800 with the paccar engine in it and it had way too much crap on the engine for me. It sure looked like a nightmare to work on. The driver complained of low power, poor mpg, and too much downtime. What happened to reliability and fuel economy?

Thanks for the link V8Lenny if they can get rid of the SCR and DPF in
europe hopefully they can do it here i got my finger crossed cause i know
paccar is keeping a close eye on whats happening with these motors, i wanted
to get the setting on the jake changed and the shop guy was telling me how
they have to email paccar with truck vin and engine ser# and they decided if
you can do it and email a file back just for your engine he said really the only
thing thy can do is change speed limiter other then that it goes through paccar
not sure if he was talking BS or not all i know is it took him an hour an a half
just to change that.

Iv been hear a few people saying the same thing no power bad fuel economy
and down time. the power i guess it depends on specs and what you had before
i was driving a 07 387 pete with a C13 turned up to 470 with i think 1550tq and
3.55 rears loved that truck...any way going to a 386 with the paccar 455 1650tq
and 3.70 rears to me pulls like a freight train i dont shift half as many gears as i
used to and i run the eastern seaboard so there is some hills. the fuel economy
i guess its how you drive it, if drive it like i stole it ya it takes fuel to no end when i'm
driving smart with 44k in the box i can get 6.5mpg no problem with 30-34k in the box
i can break 7-7.5mpg but i also only drive 60-62mph. The down time issuses my
company bought 4 of them to try out only 1 of the 4 has been in the shop for more
then regular service once for an injector and twice for the dpf knock on wood i haven't
had an issues yet in 68k miles

I will say one bout the paccar motor my company also bought 4 of the cummins isx
spec'd the same 455HP and 1650TQ with 3.70 rears and my truck will easily out pull
them up a hill and the fuel economy is about the same

Ya, we can only change a few parameters. We have to make a support net case if we want to change parameters, then they'll send a prs file with the changes. Maybe later on they'll grant us more privileges

wow when I was testing this engine for paccar they gave me the laptop to change anything in the ecm. I am starting to wish I copied the hard drive before I gave it back.

I forgot you are ahead of us in emission regulations. Our DAF engines don't have DPF. Do US versions also have EGR? We are getting that crap in 2013.
