Aftermarket ac help
I just purchased an aftermarket A/C kit and need a little help. I got the condensor mounted, the drier mounted along with the compressor and the floor mount unit in between the seat. Heres where I need a bit if help. I run the large line from the low side of the compressor to the large port on the unit in the cab. The smaller line from the condensor to the drier then into the small port on the unit in the cab. Then the smaller line on the compressor to the other side of the condensor, pretty sure thats right. Ok heres my dilemma, I have three wires out of the unit in the cab, black, red and white. Guessing black is ground, red is 12v hot and white is what activaties the compressor, correct me if I am wrong. Then the compressor has a red and black guessing red is for 12v from the unit and black is ground. I have a binary switch I need to mount in the high side of the system I think. What do I wire this Binary switch to? Inline with the power to the compressor or what? I also did not get a fitting in the kit that has a place for the binary switch. It is a female thread so I guess i will have to buy some sort of fitting to go in the hose somewhere. There are absolutely no instructions with the kit which I think is BS.

What brand is it? Do they have a website, to look at a schematic?
Black or white tends to be used for ground. Black or red can be for power supply. Not sure how they want it though. Should be 2 switches. One for high and low pressure. You want those in line with the power supply wire to the compressor. That way when either switch opens, the compressor will shut off.

Don't know what model you have, but check this out. Has schematics and plumbing diagrams for several of them. -
