Sputter/miss in 6.0

Within the past week my truck has developed a sputter/miss at various times. It has done it 3 times while at idle (waiting at a stoplight), twice under acceleration (once from 5-10 and another from 40-50), and once under steady speed at about 50. It runs smooth with no smoke or lack of power, then it seems to miss on one cylinder about 3 times and then goes back to normal. There isn't a CEL or any codes that the local Autozone could pull. I just changed fuel and oil filters (from Ford) with new oil about 1500 miles ago. I got Rotella 5w-40 syn in it. I have a bottle of Diesel Kleen in it now (put in today) to see if that helps anything. I've read other threads about miss/sputter and all seem to be at a certian speed. This is at various speeds with various rpms and I can not manually duplicate it. It's completely random. It's completely stock with the exception of a 4" straight exhaust. I was thinking about purchasing a livewire soon, would i be able to data-log with it and try to find a problem? Oh yea, it's got 107k on it now, so warranty is gone. Any Ideas??

I just finished inspection of wiring and found no defects. Any key spots I should check again. Also, I have the latest flash with injector cycle, isn't that supposed to eliminate the ebp sensor? Guess I'll pull the egr tomorrow and try that out. Thanks for the quick reply.

mine was doing the same thing @ 65000, It felt like bad fuel ,when accelerating, or it cruising and then accelerating , it turned out 2 b the EGR , it is a dealer part. I don't know how much it is thou. I also replaced the water & fuel filter but that didn't fix nothing.

It's back. EGR is clean and I can't find any bad wiring spots (any key spots to re-check?) Is there a way to check the ebp sensor? It's still not throwing any codes. Any ideas?

I have the flash with the injector shutdown cycle. I think it's 06E17. Isn't it supposed to delete that sensor from the system? I noticed after the EGR cleaning the problem definately slowed down. It used to do it 3 or 4 times a day, then it went down to like once ever 4 or 5 days. I'm thinking that something might be wrong with the EGR valve itself. I'm going to unplug it to see if that helps any.

you might have to replace the egr valve itself. there are updated ones, posible you have an older one?
