stacks outside the bed??

I've been looking at stacks for a little while now, and what I would really like to do is build a set for outside the bed where the cab meets the bed...any idea if anyone makes these and if so, how much?? I have pretty decent fab skills so i could build a set, but I would really like the Chrome there.:RTFM:

a kid at my school has 3.5inch between the bed and cab on his 1st gen dodge.

newer trucks don't have enough gap. Unless you're talking about running them on the outside kinda like a big rig

thats what i was thinking of doing. Its also possible that the bed maybe getting replaced with a custom flatbed, but I really like that "Big Rig look"

not to mention i've never seen one like that before, so it'd also be pretty unique

But sometimes unique isn't a good thing... :

big kenworth, big peterbuilt, big mack, all the same... lol but seriously, you put them outside the bed, your mileage is gonna drop from wind resistance, but at least your exhaust system will stay cool! lol

If i was worried about mileage that much, I would have bought a Prius. I'd rather run them over:squish

there is a dodge that was done by dominator diesel in pocatello idaho that has custom stacks that come out through the sides of the bed, if you go to www.dieselpowermag.com you can find it on there. i know its a dodge but its a start. a guy in pocatello did the whole setup for the stacks

Are you going bolt a set of Vortox air cleaners on your fenders too? laugh

There's an old man around here with outside stacks on his Dodge, it looks even dumber than the in-bed stacks. :

Just get some Yosemite Sam mudflaps, a couple of chrome naked girls and call it done.

Oh, yea don't forget the giant chrome mirrors and windshield visor :roflmao:
