Toyo MT's dry rotting

Noticed my Toyos have small cracks (dry rot) developing in the valleys between each of the outer lugs. It is only present on the outside which is exposed to the sun. The inner side not exposed to sun is fine. Tires are exactly one year old and have 17k on them.

Anybody else running Toyos seeing this?

Thanks,

I've noticed that as well. Very small though... nothing major yet. What psi are you running front and rear? I first noticed mine on the fronts which are at 50psi (max for the size I'm running).

Mine are doing that also and only have about 4k on them.. I take my tires and wheels off in the winter and put the stock ones on due to salt..

Mine are as well, I'm running 45 psi but I've got 30k on my tires. Time for some new ones.

Wow...

Didn't realize this was so prevalent. I run 65 psi up front (max) and 35psi in the rears empty. When pulling 5er, I up the rears to 65 as well.

Like the tires and they have very little wear on them, hope they hold up another year and 15-17k miles.

Mine are between all of the lugs, they are a few years old but always garaged.

To be honest I am not real impressed with them on or off the road.
