Any tips or tricks for a new 08 LMM owner??

I just got it a couple of weeks ago and will post pics soon. Just wondering if there are any easy tricks with this one. I heard about removing something from the air box. This is my first diesel so I have a lot to learn. Thanks for any advise.

sometimes the filter will get clogged with snow. GM's fix, although I have only read about it, is to drill holes in the air box.

Im not too sure about the whole snow in the air filter thing... i was told about it, but i live in one of the most extreme climates in the world, and drove through some pretty nasty snow storms, and i was worried about my air filter plugging with snow, so i checked it regularly and never once found it to be plugged, and i have a modified airbox, and i know that the LMM airbox it the same unit as my LBZ, i have seen them upclose

you can modify your air intake as per the PPE instructions

heres the link to the MOD http://www.pacificp.com/pdf/2006-200...%20LLY-LBZ.pdf

it took me about an hour of cutting farting around with it, one note, getting the airbox out of the LMM is a pain in the butt, just give it a very firm upwards pull and it should come loose, but it takes some wiggling to get it out of its little nook in the engine bay....

also if you dont have one i recommend the "blue" donaldson powercore filter instead of the white filter, your dealer should have them they just use a better filtering media
