Setting up a pulling truck
So i am trying to buy a new truck for pulling. I don't know anything about it and would love to learn. Is there somewhere i can find some rule and regulations on setup? And if anyone lives close-ish to me i would love to learn how to work on trucks a lot more. I would come to your shop just to check it out and learn some things. I am looking to do like a stock modified class.
Thanks a bunch Mark

I am about 3 or 4 hours from peoria. I am on the wisconsin/illinois state line.
As far as the truck goes, i have found a truck in great shape. Its a 2002 Dodge 3500 cummins. But the only thing that i am worried about is, it is a 6 speed and its a dually. So not really sure how hard that is gonna be. It has about 104,000 miles on it and is in great shape. Only asking 13,000 and i'm sure $100 bills will talk so maybe cheaper.

you want a dodge...oh boy forget what i said then
just kidding. actually the dually and a 6speed is better for pulling. just put a good clutch in it and then the rear end is big enough once you put some good traction bars and suspension stops you wont have to worry about it breaking.

We set trucks up and educate, we have 20+ years of experience in pulling. IF you want to get in the fast lane it will cost a few dollars. But when you go home you will be three years ahead of the curve.
PM for help if your serious
