MAP Sensor problem?
Hello all, I have a '99 3/4 ton that started acting up last night. The check engine light came on and it was sluggish for a minute, then it ran like normal. I ran it around this morning and had the computer checked, the code that came up said the MAP sensor had low voltage or something. After the computer was hooked up the check engine light went off and it ran great till this afternoon. Again it ran real sluggish, wouldn't tach up like normal, then it ran like normal again. Does this sound like something that the map sensor would cause?? Also, i noticed that there was a connection unplugged on the fuel filter housing this morning and i reconnected it. But it is still connected so i'm sure that it can't be part of the problem. Will a new MAP sensor fix the problem? The truck is all stock with the exception of a K&N air filter, straight pipe, and a fass lift pump. Any imput will be great appreciated!

Could be something as simple as corrosion inside the plug as well.

Yeah, i ended up just replacing the sensor. Seems to have cured the problem. I read through the cleaning proceedure and gave it a try, but it didn't help so i just replaced it. No problems now! Thanks for all the advice guys!
