Start by looking for ball joints.

Thanks..tried that also & without any luck. Maybe someone has a source for a front suspension related service manual? I know the basic R&R procedure, just need specifics related to fitting the shims, reamer size, torques.

Thanks

Ed

King pins are used on solid 2 wd front axles.

Ball joints are used on independent suspension.

You will not find the service list for king pins on your truck because there are none.

Thanks I know the difference, you were the one suggesting searching "ball joints".

Can't believe there isn't a service manual covering king pins. I'll try another forum.

I'm back to where I started, thanks for trying.

Exclamation except in the HD

keydl, The 3500HD has a solid front axle like old pickup trucks or semi trucks. It's much stronger than an independant front suspension. Chevy, Dodge and Ford heavy duty one tons and over also will use a solid I-beam or tubular front axle. Thanks, Sean

YMMV
