Finally, someone has given the Diesel Market a chance to buy one module for a diesel vehicle that can be used on just about any brand of diesel vehcile. TS Performance has developed a revolutionary product, the MP8, to do just that. This module is a one of a kind product. Instead of having to purchase a new module when you decide to change your brand of diesel, you can simply purchase the appropriate TS-Performance Harness for your new make and model vehicle and install it. Not only does this module work on Dodge, GM, and Ford, it also is built to work on Jeep Liberty, Caterpillar, John Deere and Case. This module hooks directly to the Map Sensor and the ICP/Fuel Pressure Sensor so there are no worries that your non-mod friendly dealer would find this module in the computer programming. Simply remove the module before going to your dealer. The installation of this product is simple. No tools are required! When I installed it on my 2003 Duramax, I was done in less than 30 minutes. If you read the install notes by following the link below, you will see that removing the intercooler boot makes the install go much easier. Now, what about the power? This module woke up the beast inside my Duramax! When I ran the MP8 alone, the HP gains where phenomenal! From a dead stop, mashing the go pedal to the floor ---- the truck broke into an NHRA style burnout. From 0-60 with the knob turned all the way up, the “seat of the pants feeling” was high. I could tell a huge difference over stock. The EGT’s stayed lower than with past programmers and modules that I had tested. I also tested the MP8 stacked with an Edge Box and a Predator Tuner. Wow!!! (this is the only word that came to mind) The MP8 stacked well with both units and gave the extra HP one might desire over running these units alone. I have tested other products in the past that haven't stacked very well, but the MP8 seems to stack well with these two products. Furthermore, I would imagine it does the same with other tuners/modules. I could see a moderate increase in fuel economy, but as with any new performance product, mileage was not what I was testing. Mileage will vary according to your driving habits. So, what’s my final critique of the MP8? I would highly recommend this module for the person who tows with his vehicle and doesn’t need a high HP race module or programmer. If you want to see an increase in fuel mileage, this is a buy that I would recommend. Personally, I like the idea that this might be the last box I ever have to buy! Simply order a new harness, plug and play. This box is also good for stacking with a programmer or any other module for added HP. Thanks to TS Performance for the opportunity to test the MP8 Module .
