07-2-7 6.0L - REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE - HIGH ALTITUDE

FORD: 2005-2007 F-Super Duty


ISSUE:
Some 2005-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.0L diesel engine may exhibit reduced engine performance condition with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when operated above 5,000 feet above sea level. This condition may affect 2005-2006 vehicles built before 3/15/2006 that had a powertrain control module (PCM) recalibration, and 2006-2007 vehicles built 3/15/2006 or later.

ACTION:
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release IDS 47.3 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the 2007.1 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.
