Wow. I figure this place is dead but might as well throw something interesting out there.

2nd owner, ARP studs 1 at a time, Some parts missing in the exhaust path, BD intercooler hoses, Blue spring, MC filters, Sinister coolant filter, Exhaust manifold gaskets, WARN lockouts, Gold coolant, zoodad mod, autometer boost gauge, high idle mod, Scangauge 2, SCT X3 tuned from KEM, autometer fuel pressure gauge, Archoil 6200 in the fuel, FICM by Ed w/ATLAS40, autometer pyro gauge,'08 Alum Rear Diff cover, 5w-40 Rotella T6 w/ Archoil 9100 in it, zert in the slip joint, harpooned fuel tank, 6.4 banjos

I am having a difficult time believing that VW did this. I have no doubts they did mess with the smog equipment on their diesels. What I find interesting is how they programmed the ECM to stop the smog systems from doing its thing daily and got it to turn on when it was smog checked.

Personally I find it genius. My guess (no facts to back it up) is a competitor found it out and asked how did you do it. Then spilled the beans when they didn't share the secret.

That's a very interesting speculation actually. But I should think that swindling authorities at this kind of level would have been found out sooner or later right? I mean, all they have to do is test one of the vehicles that's out on the roads to find out the true emissions levels...
