How much do you plan to spend? I have a gas 7500 watt here and after it crapped in the last power outage I started looking at new diesel units. They are WAY more expensive.

Not sure either. A quick search pulled up the recall of King Canada gensets. I found a NorthStar 6500W Diesel for $3300.

It looks like the hot thing for the money right now is LP/NG Gensets.

Hey neighbor, I am on the FTR road at km 115. If I could run you a cord I would, an extra 10000 watts or so available at all times.

I am assuming you are a oil guy, and know that nothing even comes close to a honda right?

all the generators we install in the new markets are NG powered. home depots run big diesels but for a large supermarket they only require a small gas one. they seem to last a long time.

King make all kinds of tools but quality is I would say not top quality but medium. To depend on them.......NO. I would fork out a little more for a top quality if you don't want any issues. I would say King compares alot with NorthStar from Northern Tools.

I have been looking for a 5000W genset for a while too. Just looking for a good special, maybe I'm too cheap.... But I do want gas and looking for something with Honda engine and repair is easily available. I want the Honda because they a virtually indestructable. I have at least a dozen pieces of equipment with them with one that is 20 yrs old. I have never opened up a motor yet. Change the oil, fill with gas and GO

This is the one I have and I love it. Never had an issue.
I run it once a month for 15-20 minutes just to keep things moving.

Northstar GENERATOR

It runs everything in my house except my hot tub and A/C.

The only reason it doesn't run the A/C is because it's on a dedicated meter. (cheaper elec rates)

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.
