Annoying Acceleration Issues, Fixed I hope.

Posted a while back re. annoying acceleration issues/shifting so took to the dealer and here is what they said.

"Road tested with data logger. Transmission feels like it shifts early and late primarily on downshifts. Checked transmission PID and does shift funny. Re-programed PCM, and TCM. Re road tested and much better. Suspect programing for TCM was corrupt."

So, I will monitor and hopefully things are a little 'cleaner'.

Gave it to them for the day but they road tested it once to diagnose, then re-programmed, then road tested it a second time, washed it and that was it. I picked it up just after lunch. I signed off on their warranty invoice and it was for $60.00 so total time was about 0.6 of an hour because I think the shop rate is $100/hour (at least to a normal customer).

Seems to be shifting smoother last night and today but have very little mileage on it ( 50) so verdict is still out.

No, that was just the $ figure I saw that the dealer would charge Ford Warranty I guess. It is still under bumber to bumper with only 13,000 kms on it (8100 miles). My cost was just time but wasn't working yesterday.
